Quick Update

Hello familia mia~

Well, I only have a little time to send you a quick update.  Yesterday we spent the whole day in the car driving to and from the temple...and in the temple!  It was SO GOOD to go to the Temple. ..and see la Hermanita Batchkoff :)  It truly is the House of the Lord.  Nothing like it.  It gives such perspective in the crazy world we live in full of distractions.  We were asked to study the Atonement specifically and the role of the Savior in our preparation.  I learned or I guess solidified some things I already knew.  I realized yesterday the true power the Savior has over ALL evil.  He is more powerful than the adversary.  If we trust in Him...get to know Him he is the solution to everything we struggle with.  Whether it be temptation...sickness...death...weakness...whatever.  He is the ANSWER because he knows and His love will make us feel better in reality will Heal us.  I've come to realize though that the healing doesn't come all at once.  It is often little by little...and according to our efforts.  You reap what you sow right!  The Savior's role is crucial.  The Atonement or Suffering of the Savior is the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  It is the key to all true happiness.  Or God's happiness.

A Stake President read to us missionaries yesterday Moroni 7:45-46 but replaced the word charity with Christ.  It was so cool.  Will you guys read these verses as a family and do that!? Por favor!?

I don't even know where to begin.  SO much happened last week.  We are just running around like crazies doing our very best to help these people COME UNTO CHRIST.  Rosa, the lady I told you about last week who wears TONS of makeup.  She brought her husband to the ward MEXICANO FIESTA for dia de independencia en Mexico.  That was a miracle.  They just showed up and they LOVED it.  Rosa is suddenly our best friend.  We are her palomitas...The coolest thing is, Rosa keeps telling us how ever since we started coming she feels so much peace.  She has started reading the scriptures and even though she still has some serious family problems she is able to approach them with perspective...and she just feels at PEACE.  That is the power of the Savior.  Because that first day we walked in, she was most definitely not in peace!  The change the Gospel brings is a MIRACLE.

I also got word from Hermana Batchkoff who is now serving in my first area about a woman who worked at a Hot Dog Stand Hermana Cope and I would always try to contact and teach...we taught her a few times outside her Hot Dog Stand in the freezing cold.  She is getting baptized this Saturday!  Also, a man from Albuquerque Hna Batchkoff and I taught got baptized about a month after I left and I saw pics yesterday of it.  The work of the Lord goes on and on...a little seed is planted every day.  At least one.  Often more.  And we never ever know what will come of that seed.  Sometimes we find out and sometimes we don't.

This week we had members with us at ALL of our lessons with investigators!!!! The members here are amazing and they truly are the key to success.

TODO es en las manos de Dios.  El Salvador puede sanar TODO...aunque no nos sentimos dignos.  Si deseamos a seguirle El va a ayudarnos.

Buenas Tardes.  Les quiero MUCHO.

Hermana Holland
